Screenshot Table Reader – OCR Row & Column Machine

Screenshot Table Reader – Paste Cross-Column Code Here

Screenshot Table Reader

Upload one or more screenshots. The machine reads visible text, uses each word's screen position to infer rows and columns, and reconstructs the result as editable tables and clean text lines.

PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP or GIF. Multiple screenshots are supported.

Screenshot tip: when taking the screenshot, use a custom capture box and wrap/crop it around the text as tightly as practical. Reducing empty margins and unrelated screen content gives the OCR and row/column detector a cleaner layout to work from and can substantially improve the reconstruction.

2. Detection settings

Auto layout
Recommended starting settings: leave the machine at its defaults — 35% OCR confidence, 0.72× row grouping, 3.8 character column gap, 5.0 character alignment tolerance, with Enhance screenshots before OCR turned on. If separate columns are being joined, lower Column gap; if too many columns are created, raise it. If nearby text lines are merging, lower Row grouping.
Lower separates nearby text lines; higher combines text that is vertically close.
Lower creates more columns; higher keeps nearby words inside the same cell.
Controls how far cell starts may drift while still belonging to the same column.
OCR runs in your browser. Tesseract language/core files are loaded from its CDN; your selected screenshot is processed locally by the browser code.

TXT and JSON reports receive a new 64-character private key each time they are downloaded. CSV and TSV remain unchanged.
Reconstructed tables will appear here.

Companion Machine

Down Scrolling Column Machine ↗

A natural second stage for reconstructed screenshot text. After the Screenshot Table Reader turns an image into rows and columns, the Down Scrolling Column Machine can take the cleaned text, pull vertical columns apart, and make straight down-column copying easier without terracing through surrounding material.
